Thats just the way it is............Northwest by Northwest.

Words can never convey
A sense of enormity,
A sense that momentus happenings
Have been achieved.
They never mean what they say,
And can never say what they mean.
But somehow or other,
Across the ether like world
That entwines us in the
Solitude of sanctity,
Somehow and somewhere,
The words: Thats just the way it is
Bring a shrug and a smile, because,
Thats just the way it is!

36 Hours.........

Life through a window.

We are just moments in time.
Sunbeams directed onto springtime grass
That fiercely attacks winters fatal fading gloom.
We are the train in multi directional motion
That neither stops to think or calculate
The voluminous intent of life that weighs heavy
On those without repose or solidity.
We are the mighty oak, the humble daffodil.
One that defies times logic, the other just defies.
We are more than any commercial intent.
Maybe less than we think.
We are constrained by times ethical dictates.
But until time calls time,
We just simply.......are.

Things they never teach you in school............

SUBSERVIANT

This body wears the scars of submission.

She is an enigma, an enchantment to my soul,

She is ambiguous to my hearts yearning.

Yet animal instincts cause her to reciprocate in tempestuous fashion.

My blood is the echo of her desire.

Willingly led I fall into her like a blind zealot.

The burning desire lies unquenched at sunrise

When she leaves in a rush.

She remains an enigma, and I am

Left, none the wiser.

Around every corner lies a startling truth.....

Consumption

Life has a strange way of dealing your cards.

Like a poor bus service, they all come at once: racing past

Effecting a feeling of nagging loss. Like the anticipation of

A glorious meal that leaves you full in sick pointlessness.

How else are we expected to feel?

Looking at the night sky one can imagine different scenarios.

Answers seem easy to glean at midnight, but less cohesive

When dawn rears her head to greet you. Yet, full of indifference

You let her slide by without realising that you might have missed something.

How else are we expected to feel?

Night and day, and day and night pass by smiling serenely yet nagging

You to forget something or even making you feel frustrated for nothing.

Maybe you should have watched reality television, there again possibly,

Drinking on the weekend was folly indeed. Whatever! In such circumstances as these,

How else are we expected to feel?

And then: Bang, it all changes!

Tactile (for D)

I want to fall asleep
In your room, the dark
Shadows holding no fear
Over our prone forms.
The sweet smell of sex
Washing us in our afterglow
Where gently, fingers tactile and soft
Slowly lower us from the pinacle.

Laughing like a fool
Lost in Liverpool
Memories of your canopy room
Pushing away the gloom.

Laughing like a fool
Loving Liverpool.
